村名取锦墩与凤井两个自然村名的首字组合而成。[1]

历史沿革[edit]

从前归芳桂乡敦化里管辖，属二十一都五图。1961年，锦墩、凤井、沟南三处分出另设村，属金峰镇管理，定名锦凤村，沿用至今。[1]
