西宅村是福建省福州市长乐区湖南镇的行政村，村庄座落在胪峰山下，村口有龟山与蛇山。[1]

远古时，此地在东湖的西边，故名西宅。[1]

历史沿革[edit]

历史上，村庄属清朝芳桂乡新开里二十四都一图；明朝末年命名，沿用至今。[1]

姓氏与建筑[edit]

村民以黄氏为主，黄氏始于西晋末年，是入闽的「八大姓氏」之一。[1]

村中建有黄氏宗祠，用地3000平方米，屋宇面积1500平方米；另保留清代建筑合兴堂与新厝祖厅，供民间信仰与宗亲祭祖使用。[1]

村中出过进士黄永筠。[1]

2024年12月，村庄获认定为「2024年度福州市绿盈乡村建设中级版村庄」。[1]
