湖滨村位于湖南镇东北隅，村址在东湖以东，东临大海，村民生活在依山面水的环境里。[1]

村庄旧称湖东里，1985年以后定名湖滨，今为湖南镇的行政村。[1]

地名由来[edit]

因位于东湖之东，村庄旧称湖东里。1985年建村时取两个原有村名的首字定名，因与他地重名，在第一次全国地名普查中改为湖滨。[1]

历史沿革[edit]

新中国成立后，村庄于1949年9月改划入长乐县第三区，随后于1955年8月转属金峰区。[1]

1958年8月，此地设人民公社；1961年6月，村庄另设湖滨村委会，一直延续至今。[1]

概况[edit]

村庄南向有一条名为下洋池的水域，远眺可见豹岩与牛山龙角峰；北依蛇山与鸡牳山。[1]
