村名原作星井，因村中井泉众多，故称井门。[1]

历史沿革[edit]

村子旧属二难乡昆由里，元代为六都二图，其境称桂林境。[1]

百度百科载，截至2013年，村中有511户、1775人，总面积3.13平方公里。[2]

文物[edit]

陈时范第宅位于本村天马山之麓，宅第明代中叶始建，清代整修，1998年被定为县（市）（区）级文物保护单位。[3]

2021年11月，井门村获评2021年福建省卫生村。[1]
