江田镇位于福建省福州市长乐区东南部，1992年由乡改为镇，镇内有多处省级和区级文物保护单位。[1][3][4]

历史沿革[edit]

据博雅地名网所载，宋代此地属良田里，民国时期称新江镇。1949年9月属第二区，1952年7月改属第七区。[1]

组建于1958年9月的江田人民公社，于1984年改设为乡，1992年改为镇，此后沿用至今。[1][3]

2020年12月，福建省爱卫办授予江田镇「福建省卫生乡镇」称号。[1]

地理环境[edit]

镇境东面临海，南面与松下镇相连，北面接文武砂街道与古槐镇，西北与罗联乡毗邻，西南与福清市接壤，海岸线长约12公里。[1]

镇域面积，博雅地名网载为86.4平方千米，百度百科载为88.50平方千米，两处均未注明年份。[1][3]

镇内南乡干线公路经过，向东经两港线可进入福州长乐国际机场，距离约12公里；向北可接峡漳路，进入福厦高速公路。[1]

2019年末，镇内户籍人口为66196人。[3]

镇内纺织行业已初具规模。博雅地名网还称，三溪商贸城是长乐南乡规模最大的商贸中心。[2]

名胜古迹[edit]

列入文物保护单位的有：中共福建省委南阳旧址（南阳村，区级）、南阳陈氏祠堂（友爱村，省级，2001年列入）、陈修园墓（溪湄村，省级）、灵峰寺摩崖石刻（江田村灵峰山，区级，1986年列入）、江田抗日六烈士陵园（友爱村，区级革命文物，1998年列入）。[4]

三溪村有仙字岩摩崖石刻和三溪大桥两处区级文物保护单位，石门村有石门文昌祠摩崖石刻，溪山村有郑性之墓神道和朝元观摩崖石刻，友爱村有鸣琴洞摩崖石刻，各处的说明见所在村的条目。[4]
