历史沿革[edit]
村子原先坐落在林带之中，西面环山，早年称凤林村，又称前林村；后因谐音改称前连。1955年设前连乡，1959年改称前连生产大队，1986年设前连村委会。[1]
地理环境[edit]
村辖牛山顶自然村。东侧有福北公路通过。[1]
人口[edit]

经济[edit]
村子原本以单一农业为主，村民收入偏低。近年村里有人自办企业，也有不少剩余劳力外出务工；环村水泥路铺成后，基础设施得到改善。[1]
