地名由来[edit]
村西隔着一条水与古闽县相望，古时两地往来须摆渡经过本村，村址又在该水以东，故名东渡。[1]
历史沿革[edit]
宋代称东渡，元明时一度称东瀍，明清以后复称东渡。1949年后设东渡区，区部设在池园寿房祠堂，之后改为东渡乡、东渡大队，最后改为东渡村委会，沿用至今。[1]
文物古迹[edit]
东渡杨公祠、杨梦斗墓为区级文物保护单位，1987年公布。[2]
玉田汲福泉井、古灵陈氏福房支祠为文物点，均于2013年公布。[2]
荣誉[edit]
2022年12月，东渡村被福建省爱国卫生运动委员会命名为「2022年福建省卫生村」。[1]
