历史沿革[edit]

村名取自下辖的礼读里与大田元两个自然村各一字。1961年设立行政村（大队），辖此两个自然村。[1]

村中居民有陈、卢、黄、林等姓，大约在清初从各地迁入；1949年后又有吴、郑、李等姓少数迁入。[1]

2021年11月，福建省爱卫办命名本村为2021年福建省卫生村。[1]
