历史沿革[edit]
村名与村中繁茂的长榕树有关，榕树有佑护乡民之意。[1][2]
村旧称休林村，沿用三百多年，清嘉庆十五年（1810年）改名佑林。[1][2]
清代本村属长乐二难乡。[1]
2021年11月，福建省爱卫办命名本村为2021年福建省卫生村。[1]
