壶井村位于壶山南面，属文武砂街道，村名因山上一口形如壶的井而得[1][2]。

地名与沿革[edit]

《长乐县志》记载，壶井山俯临大海，山上一井状如壶，潮水涨落时井水随之咸淡交替[2]。村落即以此山得名[1]。

南宋咸淳年间（1265至1274年）始建壶井港，明清时期它是长乐地区粮食出口和海产品进口的主要港口，抗日战争期间又是长乐通往平潭的粮食、蔬菜和日用品运输的唯一港口[3]。1956年，文武砂围海垦田工程在三公里外建成一座十八孔水闸，港口随之南迁至闸外，另辟东山港，壶井港便被弃用[3]。

村中以林姓为主，分屿南林氏和凤井林氏两支，明清两代出过进士四人[1]。壶井大队原属鹤上公社，后划入文武砂公社；1982年壶井总支分为七个大队，1992年大队改为壶井村委会[2]。

荣誉[edit]

2020年至2022年，壶井村连续三年入选「淘宝村」名单[1][2]。

名胜古迹[edit]

1957年，村里的礼堂落成于壶井古街，内设戏台，供村民开展文化活动，即今天的壶井礼堂[4]。

2013年公布的不可移动文物点中，壶井村有石刻「狮岩庙摩崖石刻」一处[5]。百度百科另列该村的著名景点为狮岩寺和妈祖庙，两者是否与上述石刻为同一处，来源未能确定[1]。
