历史沿革[edit]
1958年公社化时期此地叫洋屿下队；再往前，1949年后为洋屿乡，更早则属营前洋屿保。[1]
郑和下西洋时，舟师曾在此驻泊、伺风开洋；据博雅地名网，村址所在地也是宋代宰相郑昭先的旧里，清代三江口水师旗营曾驻防于此，村域一带还是中法马江海战的古战场。[1]
侨乡与公益[edit]
侨胞捐资修建了礼堂、敬老院、学校等公益设施。[2]
荣誉[edit]
2005年10月，村入选第一届全国文明村镇名单。[1]
2011年12月，村入选第三届全国文明村镇。[1]
2012年10月，村被司法部、民政部确定为「第五批全国民主法治示范村（社区）」。[1]
2020年，因乡村治理成效突出，村被列为省级示范村。[3]
2020年12月，村入选「2020年福建省森林村庄」名单。[1]
