西关社区是吴航街道下辖的社区，位于街道中部，北侧与航城街道里仁村接壤，西侧与西关村相连。[1]

沿革[edit]

社区的前身为朝阳居委会，始设于1964年3月。1984年，它改名为西关社区居委会，此后一直沿用。[1]

辖区[edit]

辖区分为两片：一片在繁华的河下街，有兴隆楼、平政楼、兴业楼等住宅楼和民主、团结等小区；另一片是旧城区，包括坑尾巷、后洋顶与解放路一带。[1]

荣誉[edit]

2024年1月，西关社区被命名为「2023年全国示范性老年友好型社区」。2024年12月，西关社区上榜「2024年福建省儿童友好社区」名单。[1]
