万洋村的村名来源于村附近大大小小的许多平洋，把它们合起来取名为万洋。[1]

历史沿革[edit]

1984年改称日溪乡万洋村，并设立村委会。[1]此前，村子1971年北峰区设立后仍属芝铁公社万洋大队，1961年12月归福州郊区，1949年12月则划入闽侯县第8区，建制为芝铁公社万洋大队；民国时期属林森县。[1]

文化[edit]

「2022年福建省卫生村」这一称号于2022年12月由福建省爱国卫生运动委员会授予万洋村。[1]
