寿山乡隶属福州市晋安区，地处市区北部的北峰山区。与它相邻的有南面的新店镇、北面的日溪乡、东面的宦溪镇，西边则与闽侯县接壤。乡名取自辖区内盛产寿山石的缘故，寿山石也是这里最具代表性的物产。[1][3][7]

历史沿革[edit]

唐代，这一带属闽县；宋、元时属怀安县；明清时属侯官县，民国时期归闽侯（林森）县管辖。[5]

中华人民共和国成立后，这里先设石牌、北峰两个人民公社。1962年，北峰公社改归福州郊办处；1963年改设北峰区，1975年复归郊区管辖。[5]

2004年的区划调整把原来的岭头乡与原寿山乡两地合为一体，设立了如今的寿山乡。[1]

地理环境[edit]

全乡山地居多，海拔一般在500米上下，森林覆盖率为85%，年平均气温比福州市区低3至5摄氏度。[1]

人口民族[edit]

据百度百科，全乡户籍人口于2019年底统计为12104人。[2] 寿山乡人民政府的介绍则称全乡总人口约1.24万人，但未注明统计时间，两个数字并列于此。[1]

经济[edit]

寿山石的产地包括寿山乡与日溪乡一带。[8] 寿山石在2010年取得国家地理标志产品保护，批准部门为原国家质检总局，批准日期为当年9月30日。[7]

乡里近年把寿山石作为发展文化旅游的主线，以寿山石文化带动旅游与文化产业。[4]

文化[edit]

乡内的古迹与景点有石牌村的林阳寺和高峰书院遗址、寿山村的中国寿山石馆、九峰山九峰寺后的九峰摩崖石刻、岭头村的八一七革命烈士公园和飞云峡景区，以及前洋村的福州同乐生态观光园。[6]

2010年3月，寿山乡获得「全国环境优美乡镇」称号，颁授机关为环境保护部。[3]

2021年2月，寿山乡入选「福建省2018-2020年度省级文明村镇社区」名单；同年12月，寿山乡被确定为「福建省第二批高级版绿盈乡村（乡镇）」。[3]
