村委会于1984年设立。[1]
荣誉[edit]
2020年12月，牛项村入选「2020年福建省森林村庄」名单。2022年12月，村里被确定为「2022年福建省卫生村」，同月又入选「2022年度福州市中级版绿盈乡村」。[1]
2023年，牛项村获评「省级乡村振兴试点示范村」。2024年6月，牛项村列入「福建省第四批高级版绿盈乡村」名单。[1][2]
