义井村属福州市晋安区新店镇，为行政村，城乡分类为城乡结合区。村中白泉庵有一口古井，据称旧时井旁石栏上刻有北宋蔡襄题写的“义井”二字，村因此得名。[1]

历史沿革[edit]

村原名义井大队。1949年12月起归洪山区，1952年底转为新店区辖地；1955年隶湖前乡，1958年纳入新店人民公社，1960年又隶新店区。[1][2]

1961年至1978年隶环城区新店公社；1978年至1985年隶郊区新店乡，其间为义井大队。1985年另设义井村委会。[2]
