益凤村属福州市晋安区新店镇，为行政村，城乡分类为城乡结合区。村在新店镇西面，地处五凤山北麓。当地传说五凤山为五只凤凰化成的五座山峰，各峰以数字区别，其中一峰称“一凤山”，后音转为益凤。[1]
历史沿革[edit]
唐代隶闽县，宋元至明中叶属怀安县，明末以后归侯官县，清末为侯官县文山区，民国年间隶闽侯（林森）县，属其五区之一，即新店区。1949年12月归福州市洪山区。[1][2]
1955年隶五凤乡；1966年起称红卫大队，划归环城区新店公社管辖；1984年改称红卫村，隶福州郊区新店乡；1992年改称益凤村并设立村委会，隶郊区新店镇；1995年起隶晋安区新店镇。[2]
