赤桥村属福州市晋安区新店镇，为行政村，城乡分类为城乡结合区。据考证，此地南宋时称漆桥；村名取自赤桥山麓及村内的赤桥溪，该溪旧称岩溪。2024年1月，村被命名为「2023年福建省卫生村」。[1]
历史沿革[edit]
宋、元至明中叶属怀安县，明末以后归侯官县，清末为侯官县富村区，民国年间隶闽侯（林森）县五区新店区。1949年12月划入洪山区，1952年底改属新店区。1955年隶战坂乡，1958年归新店人民公社。[1][2]
1960年重建新店区，改称八一生产大队；1969年改为公社八一大队。1970年隶红卫（鼓楼）区，1975年归福州郊区，1977年一度属蔬菜区、环城区，1982年8月重归郊区八一大队。1984年废社建乡，设赤桥村委会，隶新店乡；1992年起隶新店镇。[2]
名胜古迹[edit]
文物点新店正心堂为清代所建，位于村北，处在森林公园的峡谷之中，紧邻八一水库。[3]
