杨廷村属福州市晋安区新店镇，为行政村，城乡分类为主城区。据相关资料，杨姓约在明代初年迁入此地；两河之间成片对称排列的田地被称作“廷”，村因此名杨廷。2024年1月，村被命名为「2023年福建省卫生村」。[1]
历史沿革[edit]
唐代村地属闽县，两宋至元明中叶归怀安县，明代后期和清代归侯官县，清末划入侯官县西园区，民国年间隶闽侯（林森）县，属其五区之一，即新店区。1949年12月归洪山区，1952年底改属新店区。[1][2]
1955年隶溪里公社，1958年改属新店人民公社，1960年重建新店区，村改称杨廷生产大队。1970年隶红卫（鼓楼）区，1975年归福州郊区，1982年复归郊区杨廷大队。1984年废社建乡，设杨廷村委会，隶新店乡；1992年起隶新店镇。[2]
