磐石村属福州市晋安区新店镇，为行政村，城乡分类为主城区。晋安区人民政府2024年村庄分类名单写作“磐石村”，博雅地名网写作“盘石村”。明代《闽都记》已记有此地名，相传闽越王时此石在水中，不沉没而形如磐石，村名由此而来。2024年1月，村被命名为「2023年福建省卫生村」。[1][3]
历史沿革[edit]
旧时村地属候官县，民国时期归闽侯县，解放前夕改属林森县。1949年8月福州解放初期，村地归洪山区；1953年洪山区撤销，设立新店区。[1][2]
1958年新店区撤销，改为郊区人民公社新店分社，村地设磐石大队。1979年归环城区，1982年8月重回福州郊区。1984年9月磐石大队改为磐石村民委员会，由新店乡管辖；1992年新店乡改制为新店镇。[2]
名胜古迹[edit]
盘石山遗址位于村边的盘石山西南坡，遗址范围约一万平方米，遗存大量新石器时代至汉代陶片。遗址1988年被发现，1992年公布为市级文物保护单位。[4][5]
