琴亭村属福州市晋安区新店镇，为行政村，城乡分类为主城区。相传有贤人或仙人曾在此焚香抄琴，祈求风调雨顺，村因此名琴亭。2024年1月，村被命名为「2023年福建省卫生村」。[1]
历史沿革[edit]
唐代村地属闽县，宋元至明中叶属怀安县，明末清初归侯官县，清末为侯官县西园区，民国年间隶闽侯（林森）县，属其五区之一，即新店区。1949年12月划入福州市洪山区，1952年末改属新店区。[1][2]
1955年隶战坂乡，1958年属新店人民公社，1960年重建新店区时改称胜利生产队。1969年随区公所改制，1970年隶红卫（鼓楼）区，1975年归福州郊区，1982年回归郊区。1984年废社建乡，设琴亭村委会，属新店乡；1992年起隶新店镇。[2]
