地名由来[edit]
距今约五千年前，福州一带仍多为海湾，东郊露出水面的有竹屿、横屿、前屿、后屿等岛屿，合称“竹横前后屿”，后简化为横屿。[1]
历史沿革[edit]
解放后，横屿曾设公社所在地，统辖湖塘、东山、园中、潭桥与横屿等大队。1961年起归郊区鼓山人民公社管辖，1984年划入郊区鼓山乡，1991年成为晋安区鼓山镇下的横屿村民委员会。[1]
名胜古迹[edit]
横屿宋井群散布在横屿的七个自然村中，共有宋代水井十口，其中七口有纪年题刻，最早的凿于1102年，最晚的凿于1207年。该井群于1992年12月公布为区级文物。[2]
富沙叶氏宗祠建于清末至民国期间，宗祠的南面临安铺路，北面依着横屿山。2023年12月被列入第一批传统风貌建筑保护图则的公示名单。[3]
