地名由来[edit]
此地古时叫阮洋，是阮弥之后人的聚居处。阮洋在福州话里与远洋读音相近，久而久之写作远洋。远中村位于远洋的中段，因此得名。[1]

名胜古迹[edit]
许氏宗祠建于清代晚期，在远洋路北侧，周围已经拆迁。博雅地名网称它是区级文物保护建筑；晋安区2023年12月公示的第一批传统风貌建筑保护图则中也列有此宗祠。[1][3]
