埠兴村位于鼓山镇，村名原为“埠头”，意为码头，后改为“埠兴”，取兴旺之意。村东的宋代埠兴摩崖造像是区级文物，国家级文物鼓山摩崖题刻的保护范围也包括本村的一段。[1][2]

地名由来[edit]

村子靠近磨洋河，原名埠头，即码头的意思。后来村名改为埠兴，博雅地名网则说或为显得文雅，并寓意兴旺。[1]

名胜古迹[edit]

埠兴摩崖造像刻于宋代，位于村东约500米的山崖上，列为文物点。[2]

国家级文物鼓山摩崖题刻的保护范围为整座山，其中列有埠兴村。[2]
