南湖社区是象园街道下辖的社区，位于国货路东段，因辖区内有南湖公园而得名。社区总面积0.16平方千米。[1][2]

历史沿革[edit]

社区的前身可追溯到1997年设立的南湖第二居委会。2001年，南一、南二、杏一、杏二四个居委会在此合为南湖社区。[1]

人口[edit]

社区内共有五处居民住宅区，多为老旧小区，名称包括南湖新村、长福家园与福祥花园等。据2024年1月晋安区政府网站所载，社区总人口5993人，60岁以上的老人812人，占25.59%。[2]

文化[edit]

2022年12月，社区被福建省爱卫办命名为「2022年福建省卫生社区」。[1]

2023年，南湖社区入选国家卫生健康委命名的「2023年全国示范性老年友好型社区」，同批入选的晋安区社区另有岳峰镇凤林社区。[2]
