王庄街道位于福州市晋安区南部，是晋安区下辖的一个街道办事处，辖区面积3.6平方千米，下辖9个社区和1个紫阳经济合作社。[1][3]

街道名称来自清初靖南王在此修建的王府，当地俗称耿王庄，后简称王庄。[1][4]

历史沿革[edit]

此地自唐代至清代隶属闽县，民国时划归闽侯县；民国三十三年，闽侯县改称林森县。[2][5]

1927年，此处建成王庄飞机场。机场后来遭日军飞机炸毁，1948年旧址改建为福建省农事试验总场，次年8月改称福建省农业机械试验场。[5]

解放后，此处先设王庄居民委员会，归鼓楼区水部街道管辖。1982年建成王庄居民新村；1987年3月设王庄新村街道，其前身是1984年成立的水部街道王庄新村管委会，两者均属鼓楼区。[5]

1996年福州市区划调整，王庄新村街道由鼓楼区划入晋安区，改称王庄街道。[2][3]

地理环境[edit]

街道东侧以连江路与鼓山镇为界，南面与象园街道相接，西侧隔晋安河与鼓楼区水部街道相望，北面连着岳峰镇。[3]

人口[edit]

2025年，街道登记在册的户籍居民为36919人，另有流动人口14953人。[1]

文化[edit]

宋代理学家朱熹曾在此讲学，其遗迹「讲堂胜境」位于辖区内。[1]

辖区内的则徐中学创办于1993年，以近代名人林则徐命名。[1][6]
