洋下西社区位于六一北路西侧，属茶园街道。社区名称取自所在的洋下新村，因地处六一北路西侧而得名。[3]
历史沿革[edit]
这一社区的前身是洋一与洋二两个居委会，二者于2001年12月合并，设立为洋下西社区。2013年10月，湖塍社区并入。[2]
荣誉[edit]
2021年11月，福建省爱卫办命名洋下西社区为「2021年福建省卫生社区」。[1]
