后水村位于琅岐镇西北部，以农业和林业种植为主，村中建有供村民休闲锻炼的后水公园。[1]

地名[edit]

明洪武三年，此地称凤翥，民间口头多叫后翥。解放后为便于书写改作后水，因为翥与水在福州方言里读音相同。[1]

历史沿革[edit]

明洪武三年此地称凤翥，属琅岐十三墩之一。民国时设凤翥保，归琅岐保甲管辖。1950年成立三平农民协会，1951年设三平乡政府，隶属闽侯县第二区。1954年分成四个初级社，1958年划为六个生产队，归三平大队。1984年才称后水村，1995年11月起归马尾区琅岐镇。[1]

荣誉[edit]

2024年1月，后水村被命名为「2023年福建省卫生村」。[1]
