海屿村在琅岐岛东南，村址四面临海，其所在的岛形如孤屿，因而得名。[1]

地名[edit]

村子原名「海屿文峰境」，村址四面环水，中间有旗山耸立，远望仿佛一座孤岛，村名因此而定。[1]

历史沿革[edit]

元代称海屿，属闽县嘉登里；清末仍属闽县东南二区嘉登里。1950年起设海屿农民协会，隶属闽侯县第二区；1952年建海屿乡，1958年改为大队。1970年归连江县琅岐公社，1976年改归福州市郊区琅岐公社。[2]

1984年，海屿拆分为义湖、旗峰、雁昇、江滨四村，归福州市郊区琅岐镇；1995年划入马尾区琅岐镇，1997年四村又合为海屿村。[2]
