地名[edit]

据记载，迁琅始祖林骥良曾招吴龙山太尉为婿，他便以吴庄为自己居住地的名称，村名由此而来。[1]

历史沿革[edit]

元代已有吴庄之名，隶属闽县嘉登里，是琅岐「十三墩」之一。民国时分设六个保，归琅岐保甲管辖。1950年设农民协会，隶属闽侯县第二区；1985年才成为吴庄大队，1995年11月归马尾区琅岐镇。[1]

教育[edit]

1951年建成的原福州市吴庄小学校舍陈旧，旅居美国的华侨集资，于2007年5月建成吴庄华侨小学，占地29.3亩。[2]

荣誉[edit]

2020年12月，吴庄村入选「2020年福建省森林村庄」名单。[1]

2023年12月，吴庄村被认定为「福州市2023年市级“一村一品”专业村」，主导产业为玉米。[1]
