东街村是福建省福州市马尾区亭江镇下辖的行政村，地处闽江口北岸，104国道、温福铁路与同三高速公路贯穿全村，亭江镇政府也在村子辖区之内。[1][2]

村子由东街、下院、贤灶、菜园里、坑里五个自然村组成，1984年改称东街村，1995年11月改属马尾区亭江镇。[1][4]

地名由来[edit]

博雅地名网称，村中居民的祖先多从福州东街口迁来，为了思念故乡，取名东街。[3]

历史沿革[edit]

民国时，此地设有东街联保处，归闽侯县第三区。1952年村民组成互助组，后于1956年改为初级社，1958年建立东街大队。1984年，它改称东街村；1995年11月起归马尾区亭江镇。[4]

村情[edit]

博雅地名网载，全村常住512户，共1483人。村中有3000多名乡亲旅居海外，主要在美国、香港与新加坡，多从事海运和餐饮行业。村内出租房屋较多，该页未注统计年份。[2]

村内设有东街小学、一所幼儿园、一座敬老院、若干老人活动中心与公园，驻有一支边防部队。[2]

荣誉[edit]

2006年1月，东街村获省爱国卫生运动委员会授予的「省级卫生村」称号。[2]

2007年2月、2008年2月，东街村分别获亭江镇颁发的2006年度、2007年度「新农村建设贡献奖」。[2]

2010年2月和2011年2月，东街村分别获亭江镇授予的2009年度「新农村先进单位」与2010年度「新农村建设先进单位」。[2]

2011年6月，东街村获亭江镇委员会授予「2010—2011年度先进基层党组织」。[2]
