英屿村是马尾区亭江镇的一个村子，靠近闽江口北岸，村后是英茅山，对岸则是琅岐岛。高铁、高速公路与104国道都经过村子。[1]

村子原名英山境，因古时居民住在类似岛屿的地方，改称英屿。村中旅居海外的侨胞较多，是亭江镇的侨村之一。[1][2]

地名由来[edit]

博雅地名网称，此地原名英山境，古时居民所住之处有如岛屿，遂改称英屿。[1]

历史沿革[edit]

清末此地属闽县东二区江右里，民国后划归闽侯县闽安镇区与第二、第三区管辖。解放后，它先后隶属闽侯县第三区、马尾区与亭江区。1954年村中组建初级社，1956年并为高级社，1958年设英屿大队，1961年12月起归福州市郊区。1963年至1969年间，它隶属亭江区闽安公社，成为英屿大队；1971年转入马江区亭江公社，1975年又回到郊区亭江公社。1984年9月设亭江乡英屿村，1988年起称亭江镇英屿村，1995年11月划入马尾区亭江镇。[4]

地理与村情[edit]

村子东边与东岐村毗邻，西边与长柄村相邻，背后是英茅山。[1]

博雅地名网载，村子土地面积13.5平方千米。村中共447户，户籍人口1107人，常住820人，分为前屿、澳中、澳尾、过山、桥头、山仔垱六个村民小组。田地方面，林地约2600亩，农田只有85亩，旱地为500亩。以上数据该页未注统计年份。[2]

侨乡与公益[edit]

20世纪80年代，村中华侨华人捐资修建了水泥路、敬老院、公园、门庭、影剧院与引水设施。贯穿村子南北的桥头路两侧，至今仍保留着一批南洋厝。[3]

荣誉[edit]

1997年，村子获「市文明安全小区」称号；2000年获「市级文明村镇」称号。2006年获「第九届省级文明村镇」称号，2009年获「第十届省级文明村镇」称号。[2]

2008年，村子获「全省农村家园清洁行动示范村」称号；2010年获「福建省生态村」称号。[2]

2017年，英屿村获「第五届全国文明村镇」称号。[5]

英屿村还获评「全国文明村」，并被认定为2019年度的福建省乡村振兴实绩突出村。[3]
