盛美村隶属马尾区亭江镇，位于闽江下游北岸，在镇中心的东北侧，东边临江，北面与长安投资区接壤。[1]

村子于1950年设立，1995年11月划入马尾区。村名的来历与村子的地势和周围的田野有关。[2][3]

地名由来[edit]

博雅地名网称，村子一面依托黄山，另三面面对洋田，景象兴旺美好，因而得名。[3]

历史沿革[edit]

民国年间，此地为亭头连保处的辖地，归亭头保管理。1950年，此地设盛美村，归闽侯县马尾第三区；1956年办起高级社，1958年改为盛美大队。1984年改称盛美村，1988年至1995年间属福州市郊区亭江镇，1995年11月起归马尾区。[2]

村情[edit]

博雅地名网载，村中林地约2000亩，农田45亩，另有鱼塘60亩、旱地200亩，该页未注统计年份。[1]

村子西靠三麓，南连东街村，与鳌溪村、笏山村等十余个村社相邻。[1]

荣誉[edit]

福建省于2006年把盛美村评为卫生村。[1]

2022年12月，盛美村被认定为2022年度福州市中级版「绿盈乡村」。[1]
