闽亭社区是福建省福州市马尾区亭江镇下辖的社区，位于亭江镇中心区，沿104国道两侧，东临闽江。社区的前身是闽亭村，2004年改制组建为社区。^[1]

社区原为以渔业为生的村落，如今既有回迁房，也有商品房小区与老旧村屋，属于混合型社区。^[3]

博雅地名网称，此地靠近闽江，旧有玄帝亭，居民多住在亭边，因此得名。^[1]

社区旧属闽侯县闽江乡，原分闽亭、建亭两村。闽亭村多为家属，建亭村是外海村，以渔业捕捞为生。2000年7月1日，两村同时划归马尾区亭江镇，同年12月合并为闽亭村。^[1]

2004年3月，马尾区政府依据文件「榕马字政【2004】22号」作出安排，同年5月28日闽亭村改制组建为闽亭社区。^[1]

社区面积约0.5平方千米。博雅地名网所载，共有1930人，居民为535户；外来人口约108人，另有约470名侨胞居于海外，该页未注统计年份。^[2]

2024年，马尾区政府网站报道，社区常住人口为3103人，其中60周岁以上老人超过一半，独居与空巢老人较多，另有20户39人属于低保、低收入等社会救助对象。^[3]

亭江镇为社区探索「五社联动」试点，搭建「守护亭」「连心亭」「联动亭」三类平台；社区培育了12支自治组织，并与5家机关单位共建，链接学校、企业与基金会等20余家资源。^[3]

2005年1月，社区建成集党员活动室、会议室与办公室于一体的办公楼，占地470平方米；2011年9月又修建了社区文化活动中心，占地130平方米。^[1]

社区曾获「2006年度平安社区」称号，并在2007年度、2008年度两次获得「新农村建设进步奖」。^[1]

2022年12月，省级爱卫部门授予闽亭社区「2022年福建省卫生社区」称号。^[1]
