地名由来[edit]
村名原作“磕坑”，指村后磕泉山上的磨溪坑。磕泉山溪水丰沛，村民借水力驱动水碓，舂米磨粉，因而有“磨溪水力”之称。《榕城考古略》记，磕泉山一名嗑下，曾是福州城中伐木者聚集之处。[1]
历史沿革[edit]
唐代，此地属闽县胜残里；宋代归安仁乡永盛北里，其后又改称永北里。[1]
