历史沿革[edit]
1984年，村庄自城门划归螺洲镇管辖。村名在“文革”中一度改作立新，1958年原称杜园大队，1972年方恢复本名。[1]
名胜古迹[edit]
福州灵山寺在鳌山头，古称灵山院。据宋代梁克家《三山志》，寺创建于梁大同元年（535年），寺中至今留有唐代瓜形石础。现寺为清乾隆五十六年（1791年）重建，嘉庆二十年（1815年）重修。[3]
荣誉[edit]
2018年，杜园村被评为福州市「移风易俗示范村」。[2] 2023年11月，村庄被命名为2023年度福州市「绿盈乡村」建设中级版村庄。[1]
