地名由来[edit]

村名曾为高湖墩，又名菱湖，后改为今名。[1]

名胜古迹[edit]

高湖南湖郑氏宗祠位于高湖市场一侧，明正德年间动工，系吏部验封司郑善夫出资倡建；清道光十七年（1837年）修葺一新，占地854平方米。[1]

龙院郑氏民居位于高湖村，始建于明代，西落为民国建筑，东落二进为明代中早期建筑。[1]

文化[edit]

高湖舞龙历史悠久。1997年3月，村中舞龙队赴比利时布鲁塞尔，参加第四届「欧亚杯」龙狮邀请赛，夺得金牌。[2]
