水都社区位于福州市仓山区金山街道，因位于江南水都小区内而得名，居委会成立于2007年。[1]

2021年2月，社区列入「2018—2020年度省级文明村镇社区」名单。同年8月，水都社区入选「2021年全国示范性老年友好型社区」，名单由国家卫生健康委老龄司公布。2025年12月，社区入选「2025年福建省儿童友好社区」名单。[1]
