长汀社区属宁化街道，东侧与西二环南路接壤，南侧濒临江滨大道，面积0.7平方千米。[1][3]

历史沿革[edit]

据博雅地名网，早先有少数汀洲人迁来落户，后因子孙繁衍，村名定为「长汀」，此后汀洲人长期居住于此。[1]

这里原属闽侯县净屏乡，1944年改属豹屏乡，1950年8月划入长汀乡，此后隶属数次调整。1996年划区时，长汀村委会归台江区宁化街道管理。[1][3]

地理环境[edit]

辖区里既有老村落，也有金星四季花城与温馨家园等住宅小区。[2]

省广播电视中心、省血液中心与省海事局设在社区范围内，江滨公园位于辖区之内。[2][3]
