宁化社区坐落在宁化街道西半部，四周分别以宁化路、西二环南路、宁化支路和工业路为界，面积约0.56平方千米。[1][3]

历史沿革[edit]

此处早先是郊区台江乡红旗村的菜园。1985年，由台江开发公司、台江物业公司与房管部门合力建起成片的新村，当年即设立居委会。[1]

2001年8月，在宁化一、宁化二居民委员会的基础上成立宁化社区居民委员会。[1][3]

地理环境[edit]

辖内单位包括宝龙城市广场、福州东南眼科医院，以及宁化小学和宁化幼儿园。社区内建有服务中心、文化活动中心和青年文化广场。[1][2]

社区交通便利，福州地铁2号线宁化站位于辖区内，并覆盖12条公交线路。[3]

2022年，社区成为福州市「一刻钟便民生活圈」建设试点。[3]
