宁化街道是福建省福州市台江区西部的一个街道，东与义洲街道相邻，北接上海街道，西南隔闽江主航道与仓山区相望，辖区面积2.9平方千米。街道设立于1996年，辖区内有闽江北岸中央商务区的核心区，地铁2号线的宁化站与祥坂站也设在这里。[1][2][5]

历史沿革[edit]

街道名称来自辖区内的宁化新村。[2]

建制设立于1996年：原属义洲街道的居委会有4个（福机、坡尾、宁化、宁化二）迁入，郊区洪山镇的长汀与祥坂两个村委会也划归此处，同时新设福抗、福瑞两个居委会。[2][4]

2001年起，上述居委会与村委会合并成五个社区：宁化、福瑞、长汀、祥坂与福祥。[4] 目前除这五个社区外，还有长汀、祥坂2个经济合作社。[1]

地理环境[edit]

街道位于台江区西部，东以宁化路为界，西至上浦路，北以工业路为界，南面临闽江，面积2.9平方千米。[1] 西北与鼓楼区相通，西南隔闽江主航道与仓山区相望，北与上海街道接壤。[5]

2011年末，辖区总人口为30771人。[4]

经济[edit]

闽江北岸中央商务区的核心区位于辖区内，区内写字楼集中，有总部型企业与律师事务所等高端服务机构入驻。[1][3]

辖内的宝龙、苏宁等商业设施，以及地下的中防万宝城，属于「苏万宝」商圈的一部分。[1]

名胜古迹[edit]

侯德榜故居位于德榜路136号，在宁化社区范围内，是化学家侯德榜出生及青少年时期居住的旧居。[6] 故居始建于清代，为穿斗式木构架建筑，面阔五间、进深四间，占地约667平方米。[7] 福州市人民政府于1992年挂牌加以保护；2009年11月，该故居被公布为福建省第七批文物保护单位。[6][7] 2020年5月起修缮，2022年2月15日开馆，馆内设侯德榜生平事迹展；同年5月，故居入选「首批福建省科学家精神教育基地」。[7]
