洋中街道位于福州市台江区中部，东以五一南路为界，西接洋中路，南部沿学军路与达道河，北部至国货路一带，辖区面积0.88平方千米。[1][2] 街道办事处始设于1955年，1995年辖区扩展到现在的范围。[3]

历史沿革[edit]

这里的基层机构在1955年5月设立。文革时期它曾称新风街道革命委员会，此后以台江区人民政府洋中办事处的名称运作，直到1993年5月才复用原名。[3]

1995年区划调整后，辖区东移，面积从0.718平方千米增至0.88平方千米。河口、吉祥两个居委会原属茶亭街道，玉树、金当、达东三个居委会原属新港街道，它们在这次调整中并入本街道；原台江镇的双丰村也划入本街道。洋中路以西的几个居委会则划出，改属义洲、双杭等街道。[3]

2001年，原有的居委会与村委会经整合组成9个社区；2006年并为6个社区；2014年8月又整合为金斗、玉树、达道、铺前4个社区居委会。[3]

台江区人民政府网站所载，街道获得「福建省先进基层党组织」称号，先后在2015-2017年度与2018-2020年度两个周期获评「福建省文明单位」，另获「福州市第三次全国经济普查先进集体」称号。[1]

地理环境[edit]

街道位于台江区中部，境内地势有起伏，吉祥山、保福山、金斗山、太平山是其中的几座山丘。[4]

人口民族[edit]

台江区人民政府网站2022年3月发布的街道概况载，辖区户籍人口为28383人，分属12193户；常住人口为18250人，分属6417户；流动人口有4930人。[1]

博雅地名网2019年的数据则是流动人口3586人，户籍人口28975人，住户9952户，与政府网站的数字并不一致，此处以政府网站为准。[2]

文化[edit]

辖区内有福州第八中学、福州第十五中学两所中学，台江区第三中心小学、国货路小学两所小学，以及洋中幼儿园等幼儿园；三甲医院有省人民医院与市第一医院两家。[1]

区图书馆、区文化馆，以及台江区文化活动中心和市工人文化宫，都在辖区之内。[1]

名胜古迹[edit]

三山会馆在横街巷，始建于清道光年间，为木构建筑，由江、浙两省的布业商帮在福州合建。[5]

会馆名称取自邻近的三山驿。[5]

保留下来的春晖堂为穿斗式木构架，屋顶是重檐歇山式，堂内石础、石柱与藻井基本完好。[5]

建国后会馆曾办金斗小学（文革中改称向上小学），1985年改作台江区少年宫，2010年起作洋中幼儿园。1992年公布为福州市级文物保护单位。[5]
