三保社区位于福州市台江区江滨大道北侧，是苍霞街道下辖的社区[2]，1980年10月成立。社区面积0.092平方千米，东临白马南路与三县洲大桥，西至白马河。[1]

名称由来[edit]

清代按保甲编户，每十户设一牌，十牌为一甲，十甲为一保。此地属五保七社，其中三保为双龙社。这一带的街巷布局像一个“井”字，居中的横街社是当地零售业最集中的地方，社区因此取“三保”为名。[1]

历史沿革[edit]

三保的名称由来已久，社区于1980年10月成立。2013年底，同德社区并入原三保社区，合并后仍称三保社区。[1]

社区北至同德路，南至江滨大道，与万侯、河下、中平和苍霞新城社区相邻。[1]
