历史沿革[edit]

社区成立于2002年2月3日。2021年2月，社区列入「福建省2018-2020年度省级文明村镇社区」名单。[1]

社区先后被评为「福州市台江区文明社区」「平安社区」「绿色社区」，并获「福建省企业退休人员社会化管理服务工作达标单位」称号。[2]

地理环境[edit]

社区东与太平社区相邻，西侧临白马南路，南侧以山边街为界，北侧邻近工业路，界线都取道路中心线。据博雅地名网，社区以河为界划分，地处义洲街道东部。[1]

辖区内有彬社新村、天马新村、浦东小区、浦前新村和时代名城等住宅小区。社区内配有游泳馆，还有幼儿园、超市、卫生服务站和中介服务机构。[2]
