社区名称寓意如繁星闪耀。[4]

2001年12月，红星社区和居委会一并设立。2013年11月，瀛福社区的一部分与红星社区合在一起。[1]

地理环境[edit]

北面以光明港为界，南侧是洋中里，西面以红星路为限，东面一直到红星河。据博雅地名网，面积为0.272平方千米，该页未注统计年份。[1][2]
