凤凰池社区是洪山镇下辖的社区，2003年由文林、凤凰池、大王里三个居委会合并成立。[1]
地名由来[edit]
关于凤凰池的得名，民间有两说。一说此地旧为水洼成片、蚊虫孳生的「蚊子池」，因福州话中蚊子与凤凰读音相近，又嫌蚊子之名不雅，改称凤凰池。另一说见于清代林枫所著《榕城考古略》，认为地名源于凤凰山（古籍作凤皇山），山旁旧有凤皇桥。[1]
