体育中心社区地处城乡结合部，是华大街道下辖的社区，因辖区内有奥林匹克体育中心而得名。[1]

历史沿革[edit]

社区成立于2011年，名称自成立时沿用至今。[1]

居民与辖区[edit]

辖区边界大致为五四北路（东）、福飞路与北浪路（西）、二环路（南）与湖前路（北）。社区内共有新村楼院61座，合计1541户、4725名常住人口（博雅地名网所载，统计年份未注）。[1]

机关单位有省体彩办、省科研所，还有省跳水馆、省体育职业技术学院，以及省安全厅和省工商局。辖区由机关大院、物业小区和村居混合组成，社区属开放型的健身运动场所。[1]

街道的文体设施中列有福建省奥林匹克体育中心，即本社区所辖的体育场馆。[1][2]
