九彩社区位于西湖河畔，是华大街道下辖的社区，面积约0.9平方千米，据博雅地名网，是街道所辖面积最大的「混合型」社区。[1]

地名与历史沿革[edit]

社区名称来自辖内的九彩弄。此地原为西湖东侧的九来港，居民以种植韭菜为生，俗称韭菜园，后音近而改称九彩。[1]

1969年时曾叫永武居委会，至1978年才又用回原名。社区的前身为城北、北大、九彩、华林、屏山和冶山六个居委会，经合并组建。[1]
