小柳社区处在鼓楼区南街街道的西部，以柳河路为东界，西界直抵西二环路，南面与省委党校相接。[1]

历史沿革[edit]

社区的成立时间两说不一：百度百科称，它是在2005年10月从河南社区划出部分区域后另立的；博雅地名网则记为2005年11月重新整合。两说并录。[1][2]

名称由来[edit]

社区以附近的柳河为名，因柳河路而称小柳；辖区内又有小柳新村，两者相合。[1]
