东街街道是福建省福州市鼓楼区下辖的街道，位于鼓楼区中部，以辖内主干道东街得名。据鼓楼区政府2026年1月发布的行政区划资料，街道面积0.72平方千米，下辖军门、大根、竹林境、旗汛口4个社区^[1]。街道是鼓楼区政府与区委的驻地，其历史可以追溯到五代闽王王审知修筑罗城的时期^[4]。境内有正谊书院、王仁堪故居等文物古迹^[4]^[6]。

历史沿革[edit]

1955年5月设立办事处时，街道最初由光复、东街两个居委会组成^[2]。此后机构名称几经变动：1968年一度称东方红街道革命委员会，1978年又称东街街道革命委员会，1980年才恢复为办事处的名称^[2]^[5]。2021年2月，街道被列入「福建省2018-2020年度省级文明村镇社区」名单^[2]。

据维基百科，这一带的历史可以从五代闽王王审知修筑罗城算起^[4]。宋代，官府在辖内的织缎巷设立文绣局；明清时期，巷内居民多以织缎为业^[3]。

地理环境[edit]

街道位于鼓楼区中部，西侧以八一七北路与南街街道相接，北侧以贤南路、庆城路与鼓东街道相邻，东侧靠近五一路、五四路交叉路口一带，与温泉街道、水部街道接壤，南侧隔安泰河与安泰街道相望^[2]^[4]^[5]。它是鼓楼区内唯一没有城乡交接部的城区街道^[2]。

2020年，街道常住人口35285人，户籍10181户^[4]。

名胜古迹[edit]

正谊书院位于东街，为清代福州四大书院之一。1866年（同治五年），闽浙总督左宗棠在黄巷创办正谊书局；1870年（同治九年），书局改为书院，并迁到现址^[6]^[7]。清末（1902年）前后，书院并入全闽大学堂，有关记载视今福州一中为其源头^[6]。1913年，福建省图书馆迁入其旧址^[6]。1992年，书院被定为福州市级文物；2013年又被公布为福建省级文物；2015年初重新向公众开放^[6]^[11]。

王仁堪故居原为清代王庆云（原清工部尚书）的旧居，旧称「尚书第」。此处始建于乾隆年间，之后在道光与同治年间经过修整。王仁堪生于此地，他中状元之后，这所宅院又被称为「状元府」^[8]。故居位于孝义巷一带，保护范围东延至孝义巷、西延至竹林境新村^[4]^[8]。博雅地名网称它为福州市文物保护单位，并记其于2020年初入列第八批市级文物名录^[8]。

光福山房旧址在仙塔街，始建于明末，清乾隆、嘉庆年间为城守左营都司的私邸。据博雅地名网，这里是口译《茶花女》的第一人王寿昌的故居，清末民初福州名流常在此吟诗作画^[9]。1914年，第三进院落经过改建，自成一个独立院落^[9]。据博雅地名网，它在1992年被定为区级文物；2000年代，旧址拆除，改作房地产开发，其中的「狮山天池」迁至乌山道山观^[9]^[10]。
